"He learned to cook his own meals"
A young man in his 20s had lived with his ageing parents his whole life, never having experienced real independence. With consistent in-home support from Asina, he learned to cook his own meals, do his own shopping, and build a genuine social life of his own.
His parents watched their son do things they never thought he'd do, and that's the whole point of this work. Not milestones on a support plan. A life that's actually his.
His parents came to me and thanked me for caring for their little boy. I cried. I'm not too proud to say that.
