About our outer west and north services
Melbourne's growth corridors, Wyndham in the west, Melton to the north-west and Hume and Whittlesea to the north, are where the city is growing fastest, and where good disability support is hardest to find. Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Point Cook, Tarneit, Melton, Caroline Springs, Craigieburn, Epping and Mernda all sit in this group. Our Melbourne team, led by Hayley Harris, is recruiting practitioners who live in these suburbs so that support here is local, not an hour's drive from the inner city.
There is more to do out here than people expect: Werribee Park and the Open Range Zoo, the Werribee River trail, Point Cook Coastal Park, the Craigieburn and Melton town centres, Plenty Gorge, Edgars Creek and the big new leisure centres many councils have built. Trains run on the Werribee, Melton, Craigieburn and Mernda lines, and for many participants transport support in a practitioner's car is the practical option.
