About our eastern suburbs services
Melbourne's east runs from Hawthorn and Camberwell out through Box Hill, Doncaster and Blackburn to Ringwood and Croydon at the foot of the Dandenongs, and south to Glen Waverley and Burwood. It is quieter and greener than the inner city, with big shopping centres, good hospitals and a lot of parkland, and our Melbourne team, led by Hayley Harris, matches Disability Support Practitioners (support workers) to participants here by suburb.
For community access, the east has plenty: Box Hill Central and Eastland for shopping, Ruffey Lake Park and Blackburn Lake Sanctuary for walks, the Koonung and Gardiners Creek trails, Aqualink and the Ringwood and Box Hill pools, Wattle Park, and the Belgrave and Lilydale train lines for a day in the hills. Many of our participants here live with family, and we work closely with parents and carers.
