About our inner north services
Melbourne's inner north is where a lot of our first Victorian participants live: the terrace streets of Fitzroy and Carlton, the shopping strips of Sydney Road and High Street, and the bigger blocks out through Preston, Reservoir and Heidelberg. Our Melbourne team is led by Hayley Harris, and our Disability Support Practitioners (support workers) are matched to the people near them, so your worker is someone who knows the area, not someone driving in from across town.
The inner north is one of the easiest parts of Melbourne to get around without a car, which matters for community access. Trams run the length of Sydney Road, High Street and Lygon Street, the 86 and the Upfield and Mernda train lines link the suburbs to the city, and there is a lot to do within a short trip: Edinburgh Gardens, the Fitzroy Pool, CERES in Brunswick East, the Preston Market, Bundoora Park and the Merri Creek trail.

That means community access here is about choice, not just getting out of the house. Our practitioners build each visit around what you actually want to do, whether that is a market run, a swim, a volunteering shift or coffee on Lygon Street.
