About the role

Thanks so much for your interest in working with Asina. The roles we advertised earlier have now been filled, but we’ve got some other shifts going that might suit you.

We’re looking for someone to pick up 9 hours a week, starting as soon as possible:

These shifts support several participants in their own homes in Armidale, including a couple who are supported together. The work is practical and hands-on: meal prep, daily living assistance, and helping sort out the everyday tasks that keep each household running. What makes this role different is how it needs to be done. Each person has their own pattern, and things need to happen in a certain order, the same way each time, because for the people you’ll be supporting that consistency is what makes the day manageable.

That means following the routine as it’s set out rather than improvising, checking that each task is done properly and completely before moving on, and being comfortable being shown exactly how something needs to happen and then doing it that way every time. If you’ve supported someone where getting the details right really matters, or you understand what living with obsessive-compulsive patterns or anxiety can mean day to day, you’ll understand why this isn’t about speed. It’s about doing things correctly, calmly and predictably.

It’d suit someone who is patient, reliable and organised, who takes direction well, and who gets why keeping a steady routine matters so much. Someone who turns up on time every time, notices when something’s out of place, and quietly helps put the day back in order.

We’re growing rapidly across New South Wales, and new clients and shifts are coming up all the time. When they do, we look to our current team first.

There’s also plenty of room to move up. As you get experience with us, there are chances to step into team leader, key worker and other senior roles. A lot of how we’re building Asina comes down to backing the people who are already with us.

If you’re interested, apply below or send us a message and we’ll organise a quick chat.

Thanks again, and we hope to hear from you.
