Asina Services opens
in Melbourne.
Melbourne, VIC · 28 October 2026 · For immediate release
MELBOURNE, VIC — 28 October 2026. Asina Services, the person-centred NDIS support provider that began in Armidale and now works across four regions of New South Wales, has opened in Melbourne. The new Victorian team supports NDIS participants across Greater Melbourne from the CBD out, and is the company’s first step outside its home state.
The Melbourne team is led by Hayley Harris, Asina’s Regional Operations Manager for Victoria. Rather than opening with a single office, Asina is starting where its participants are: Disability Support Practitioners (support workers) are matched to the people near them, at home and out in the community, across the inner north and west, the bayside and south-east, the eastern suburbs and the outer growth areas.
“Melbourne is the first place we’ve gone outside New South Wales, and we’re going the same way we went everywhere else: one participant at a time, with a practitioner who actually fits them. Hayley is building a team that families can pick up the phone to, and that’s the whole point.”
— Ben Feenan, Founder, Asina Services
Asina delivers its full range of person-centred NDIS supports in Melbourne from day one: community access, daily living and personal care, transport assistance, meal preparation, capacity building, drop-in support and NDIS cleaning. Participants choose who works with them, with free meet and greets and the final say on their team, and see everything in the My Asina app: schedules, shift notes, invoices and support plans in one place. Asina works with self-managed and plan-managed participants.
The company was founded by Ben Feenan, a Disability Support Practitioner with more than ten years of frontline experience, and is built on a simple idea: support run by people who have done the work, shift after shift. That model now operates across Armidale and the New England, Tamworth, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, and Springwood and the Blue Mountains, and from this week, Greater Melbourne.
Hiring across the city
Asina is recruiting its founding Melbourne team of Disability Support Practitioners now, casual to start, paid under the SCHADS Award with super and penalties, with paid onboarding and shadow shifts, and training through its in-house Asina Academy. Practitioners are matched to participants near where they live, so applications are open from every part of Greater Melbourne. The listing is at asina.com.au/careers.
“If you’re a support worker in Melbourne who’s good at this and tired of being treated like a number, come and talk to us. The people who join now are the ones we’ll be building the Victorian team around.”
— Ben Feenan
